If you are seeking to develop new or heightened communication skills in a specific area for example: presenting (see below) or contributing to meetings/discussions,  LABtokyo’s training will improve and augment your existing skills helping you become a more confident, accomplished and engaging communicator.

Presentation Training (example course contents and objectives)

Typical sessions will cover:

• planning, structuring and designing the presentation

• presenting engagingly with authority and passion

• building confidence and gaining audience trust

• organisational, social and cultural challenges to presenting

• designing and using visuals with maximum effect and minimum distraction

• presenter/audience interactions

because a great presenter’s objectives should always be to:

• make themselves the focus of the presentation

• be able to reduce visual material to the essential elements for maximum impact and minimum distraction

• present complex information in simpler, more meaningful and memorable ways

• engage the audience from start to finish

• present passionately in a confident and compelling manner

• place a higher value on what the audience needs to hear than on what the presenter wants to say.

How long are the courses?

There is no fixed duration as these are typically designed once we understand your needs. Previously we have run courses over a minimum of three hours in a one off session to a current maximum of 36 hours at one hour per week.

We value flexibility and customisation above all else and always try to meet you at least twice prior to starting the course to discuss needs, present solutions and to propose how we can design the best course to suit your particular needs.
